Dragon Voice Recognition Review

A couple years back I had the idea to try voice recognition software to increase my productivity in creating content and just plain to give my hands a rest from typing. That idea ended up paying out big, so this is my review of Dragon voice recognition software.
Dragon voice recognition software works anywhere you can take your computer with you. You dictate what you want to write into a microphone and it appears in your word processor of choice right front of you. In addition to using the program to dictate, you can use Dragon voice recognition software to interact with your computer in a hands-free set up. You can browse online using a number of shortcut commands and interact with your desktop flawlessly all using just a handful of commands.
The program is remarkably accurate for two reasons. One, the program learns as you dictate. In other words it picks up on nuances in your voice (hence the company name of Nuance voice recognition software) and improves with each use. After just a handful of uses it has a near perfect 99% accuracy rate. Plus you can store a number of "profiles" in the program, so if you're sharing it with other people you can just sign into your unique profile and it will be ready for your own unique way of speaking.
The other part of what makes it so accurate is that it has a specific accuracy precision system to it. This is a setting in the program which you can go in and basically just teach the program to learn how you speak to improve its accuracy precision right away as soon as you get it if you like.
The aspect of the program which I get the most use out of is the dictation part. Plain and simple it's much easier to dictate content than to write it down. For one thing, it's easier to create content through speaking it because thoughts are able to be delivered more easily than writing it down. When you write something down, there is more of a lag associated with getting your hands to type or write every single letter whereas it all comes out in one complete thought through speech.
Otherwise it's much faster to dictate than to type. If you're looking to revolutionize your productivity, I completely recommend Nuance's Dragon. For example, 400 word articles which would once take me 10 minutes to dictate I got narrowed down to four minutes, thus improving my productivity by 250%.
There are 4 different types or versions of the program. Check out this Dragon voice recognition review post for a brief rundown of each and a recommendation of which would be best for you.
